Robertson House is a high-set house renovation project at Robertson, Brisbane. This house originally was a single storey low-set home, and the client’s brief was to build a new second storey above the existing dwelling. The house is built on high land and is characterized by textured materials that aim to engage and integrate the dwelling with its surrounding context, being predominantly brick, glass, timber and stone. The planning of the house is composed of an elevated open plan living at the front which looks out to beautiful landscapes. The home also has a massive outdoor living deck fronting the street perfect for entertaining family and guests. The simplicity in choice of cladding materials and smart planning helped create an enjoyable home to live in within the client’s budget constraints.
